During this last 6 weeks we have a lot of things to do in order to finish our genius hour project. We must still paint the chutes and fix the ropes. This process will take us just about the rest of the 6 weeks because the chutes are rusty and we will have to grind them before we are able to paint them. Also we will need to re weld the ropes so nobody will be hurt on them.

Are genius's born or can they be made? That is a question that people have been wondering for generations. John Cloud expressed his opinion in his article he wrote. The reason he wrote this article is to prove that you do not need to have the highest IQ to be a genius there are other ways. Practice makes perfect is a phrase that has been going around for years but researchers say with 10000 hours of practice you will have mastered what you are trying to do. With that being said that proves that you do not have to be a natural born genius but with some hard work and dedication you can do whatever you want. That shows that if we work hard in life and for our genius hour project we can achieve the goal that we have set. While reading this article many things stood out to me, the thing that stood out the most is that many schools around the country are doing the same exact thing as we are doing every Friday. At first I didn't think that I was really going to like this Genius Hour Project but as we got into it more I realized how much fun it can be to do a project that you are actually interested in. I learned from this article to not be afraid to fail, sometimes your project won't turn out the way you thought and that is okay. I will definitely take that into consideration while I am working on my projects for the rest of the year.
Throughout the months of October, November, and December I plan to accomplish a lot for my genius hour project with my partners Colin Erickson and Noah Wilcox. We plan to raise money for new practice field equipment for our football program. We have started up a go fund me page and it is going around on Facebook right now. Not only would we like to get a new blocking sled, we also are going to repaint some of the equipment that we already have. Once the football season is over we will be taking some of the equipment to get painted.
